Operation Kitten-Fix...
Tiny white and black kitten named Zinnia
In recent weeks we've rescued dozens upon dozens of motherless kittens from Pima Animal Care Center, some too young to have their eyes fully open!  Our goal is to have these kittens current on shots, medical tests, microchips, and spay/neuter by the end of May so we can begin adopting them to their forever families.  Our medical fund is severely depleted and we need you to help us spread the word to all the cat lovers you know:  $50 will pay for a spay/neuter surgery and $100 will purchase a box of tests or 10 vaccines. To contribute, use the 'Click to Donate' button at our website or mail a check to P.O. Box 31302, Tucson, AZ  85751.  Little "Zinnia" and her rescued pals anxiously await your assistance in this critical mission.

Many thanks for your food donations and kitten fostering!
We're so grateful for all the food we've received with the help of Craig's List postings by our friends.  Our cats are fat and happy and we have many tiny kittens purring away safely in foster homes.  If not for bottle-feeding and constant attention provided by our dedicated foster families, these little ones would not be here today.  We would like to extend a special welcome to these new volunteers!  If you would like to help these kittens, we still need clumping cat litter and high-quality canned kitten food, which may be dropped off at 3131 N. Chapel Avenue.

Roadrunners and Coyotes...and Casa dogs

Among the Casa de los Gatos staff and volunteers are some tenacious road-runners...running to PACC to rescue sneezing kittens and puppies before they are killed, running to vets or emergency clinics to get urgent care for our cats, running to spay/neuter clinics, running here, there, and everywhere for whatever these kitties may need!

coyote pupWhat about coyotes?  This newborn pup "Luke" was recently rescued from PACC and was being bottle fed by a foster mom.  As he grew a bit older, one of our volunteers noticed that he looked like a coyote pup.  Tucson Wildlife Center confirmed that he was indeed a coyote, and have taken him to grow up with a coyote mom and some other rescued pups that will someday be released back into the wild.

Casa de los Gatos has a number of rescued dogs who need someone to walk them, groom them, play with them, teach them basic commands, do yard cleanup, etc.  If you are interested in helping with our dogs, please call (520) 881-0900.
Remember that a mouse-click a day could help Casa de los Gatos !!
The Animal Rescue Site and PetFinder.com are sponsoring a contest to award several $1000 weekly prizes and larger grants to the rescue organizations receiving the most votes at http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com.  (The link to the Shelter Challenge appears on a side Tab.)  Please vote daily for Casa de los Gatos and spread the word to all cat lovers!  If you like to shop online, you can help even more by shopping with Kohl's, ThinkGeek, and others through iGive.com.

Casa de los Gatos needs adoption assistants and animal-loving people to help with grooming cats or dogs, cleaning our cat houses or dog areas.  If you can volunteer at least one half-day per month, please call (520) 881-0900.

We rely on your generous donations and volunteer efforts.
Please help us in our quest to provide Nine Good Lives for Every Cat
