Our gratitude for your attitude...
 Thank
you for your generous donations after our urgent appeal last
month...without your continued support we wouldn't be able to save cats
like Leela, a 14 week old kitten who recently developed pneumonia. When
she began having difficulty breathing she had to go to a clinic for
oxygen treatment, at a cost of about $400 per day. Contributions
for Leela's care can be made directly to Valley Animal Hospital at
(520) 748-0331, or to Casa de los Gatos. You can read more about Leela's progress here.
Please continue to direct other cat lovers to our website and ask them to join our mailing list and support our No-Kill Sanctuary. Increasing our base of supporters will allow us to continue to care for hundreds of cats like Leela. Donations can be made by mailing a check to P.O. Box 31302, Tucson, AZ, 85751, or using the 'Click to Donate' or 'Be a Purrfect Pal' buttons on the Casa website to give via PayPal.
To
complement the help we get from you, we're planning events that will

Upcoming Fundraising Activities
We have some great new events on the horizon! On Sunday, July 19th from 3-6pm, a Silpada Designs Sterling Silver Jewelry Trunk Show will be held at 'Pour Moi', a women's bout ique
located at 1865 E. River Rd. 25% of proceeds go to Casa de los
Gatos, with jewelry parties booked during fundraiser resulting
in an additional $50 donation. Please come and enjoy wine, sparkling
juice, hors d'oeuvres and elegant silver jewelry. RSVP to Ann

On August 2nd we're hosting 'El Tour de Gatos'
at each of our locations. Visit our facilities, view and adopt
our animals, enjoy bake sale, craft, and jewelry items to benefit the

Casa de los Gatos rises above #10 in the Shelter Challenge!!
 The
Animal Rescue Site and PetFinder.com are sponsoring a contest to award
several $1000 weekly prizes and larger grants to the rescue
organizations receiving the most votes at http://www.theanimalrescuesite.com
and we have recently moved into position #9 for Arizona - thanks to all
your Clicks! Please vote daily for Casa de los Gatos and
spread the word to all cat lovers. Let's see if we can break into

Need for Volunteers:
Casa
de los Gatos needs adoption assistants and people to help groom cats,
clean our
cat houses, and to walk, groom, and train our adoptable dogs. If
you can volunteer at least one half-day per month, please leave a
