Herman
Herman was as lovable as he was big and round. He was brought to Casa de los Gatos by a warm hearted woman who already had a dozen cats in her care. When Herman showed up at her house, the other cats gave him a hard time. When Casa took Herman in, we found that he tested positive for Feline Leukemia, meaning that he would join the 40 other cats in our FeLV house. Poor Herman was once again low cat on the totem pole, and he hid under a sofa for a time. As much as other cats hissed or swatted at him, he never responded with an angry side. Gradually he would come out for attention from people, and everyone who met Herman fell in love with this gentle giant. He truly loved to sit in laps, and had an endearing habit of “wading” into the food bowl to eat! We will always remember Herman fondly.
