Nine good lives for every cat!

We operate a cage-free sanctuary for special needs cats, and a cage-free shelter for adoptable cats and kittens. We promote and practice TNR (Trap, Neuter and Return) for feral cats, and are helping lead the way to a No-Kill Pima County!

Casa de los Gatos News Highlights

SNIP AND SAVE 2008 Spay/Neuterathon

Casa de los Gatos and Hope Animal Shelter have joined together to fund a FREE program for 400 to 500 dogs and cats to be spayed or neutered at no cost to the pet owner who otherwise might not be able to afford it themselves.  This is just the beginning of an effort to reduce the number of unwanted puppies and kittens that never find homes and to steer Pima County in a no-kill direction. 

Casa de los Gatos and HOPE Animal Shelter join forces


March 22, 2008.   Casa de los Gatos and HOPE Animal Shelter announced today that they are combining to form one animal welfare organization.

Sable is missing a leg but he doesn't miss much else.

Sable (now called Nemo) was luckily found by someone that took him to their own Vet Clinic. Unfortunately he had been limping very badly and x-rays revealed that his rear leg was severely fractured in several places and his leg needed to be amputated.  The surgery was preformed the following day and Nemo is recovering well and is getting around just fine on three legs.  He plays and sleeps with the kids in his Forever Family and is a happy vibrant kitty that does not let his handicap slow him down.  

We are all very grateful to Dr. McWhirter and her staff at the Rolling Hills Pet Clinic for taking such good care of him and helping Casa de los Gatos with his surgery.

First place for the Casa de los Gatos 2007 Valentine Photo Contest...   Arlo, he is a FeLV+ kitty in a loving home with several other FeLV + kitties- as you can see it doesn't slow him down one little bit!

Casa de los Gatos is currently accepting photos for the Christmas Kitty Cat Photo Contest. A $5.00 entry fee benefits dogs and cats in need. Please leave us a message at (520) 881-0900 or send us an email at: Info@CasadelosGatos.org for further information.
